Second release of the complex nitrosamines database announced to members

Lhasa Limited is delighted to announce the second release of the Vitic complex nitrosamines database for 2022. Members of the consortium use mutagenicity studies from the shared database to further understand the risks associated with their potential nitrosamine impurities.

The second iteration of the Vitic complex nitrosamines database contains Ames data on 54 nitrosamines, derived from 71 Ames studies.

This release also incorporates our first non-Ames study, in this case, the in vitro mammalian cell HPRT gene mutation assay complements the results from the negative bacterial Ames test. For our next release, more Ames data will be shared, and the scope should be extended further to also include in vivo studies.
