Michael Barrett, Technical Editor
Name: Michael Barrett
Job Title: Technical Editor and Video Creator
I started my technical career in 2007, working on a support desk for a company supplying software to primary and secondary healthcare organisations. I moved into a Technical Author role for the same company in 2014.
In 2017 I started working for a time and attendance software company based in York. As one of two Technical Authors, I created a series of help guides. This included a set of videos intended to build upon the initial training delivered by Implementers.
I joined Lhasa as Technical Editor in 2018. The role is still relatively new and focuses more on the drafting and publishing aspect of technical documentation. I’m glad to have a part in shaping the role, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it evolves in the future!
My enthusiasm for the written word follows me outside of work; I often find myself reading or writing for my own entertainment. I have a diverse range of musical tastes, encompassing classical, early 20th century blues, 70s/80s rock and many more. I own more guitars than I really should, as well as a few other instruments that I can (or can’t) play with varying levels of competence.
