My name is Will Drewe and I am a Principal Global Alliance Manager at Lhasa Limited.
I joined Lhasa Limited in 2012 to work within the Knowledge Team primarily on the development of Derek Nexus toxicity alerts for several endpoints, including mutagenicity and skin sensitisation. In 2015 I transitioned into Lhasa’s Business Development team, now Global Alliances Team, to work more closely with our members and ensure that Lhasa’s scientific direction is closely aligned with their scientific needs.
Before starting at Lhasa Limited, my background has always been on the interface of the chemical and biological sciences. As such I studied Biochemistry and Biological Chemistry at the University of Nottingham graduating in 2004, before gaining a PhD within the Cancer Research UK Biomolecular Structure Group of Prof. Stephen Neidle in 2008. After a brief trip to travel around S.E. Asia, Australia and New Zealand, I returned to the University of Nottingham between 2009-2012 to undertake Post-Doctoral Research in the group of Prof. Neil Thomas developing a range of research tools for a variety of medical and biochemical applications.
Outside of work I am a keen sportsman and can normally be found somewhere in the Yorkshire countryside either running, orienteering, or on my bike.
