Please feel free to call me Kate. I have a BSc Special Honours in Zoology from Sheffield University. Following my degree, I gained experience working in the information services department at Glaxo Group Research in Greenford before completing an MSc in Information Studies also at Sheffield University.
In 1989, I joined Croda Chemicals Limited in their Regulatory Affairs department dealing with enquiries on the toxicity, ecotoxicity and environmental fate of speciality chemicals as well as legislation covering their use in cosmetics, food, pharmaceutical and industrial applications.
I joined Lhasa Limited in February 2006 starting in the database department adding toxicity data to the Vitic database & leading on several data sharing initiatives.
In 2009, I moved to the research group where I have been involved in the eTOX and eTRANSAFE preclinical data sharing projects.
Outside of work I am an avid reader and a keen cook.
