I’m Jen; the Director of Finance at Lhasa Limited. I completed my Chartered Management Accountant studies in 1989 and became a Fellow of the institute in 1998. In 2005 I completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Bradford School of Management.
My accounting career started as a Cost Accountant in a traditional carpet manufacturing company based in West Yorkshire. From there I moved to a multi-national chemical company where I was fortunate enough to work in their head office in Bradford, their Hong Kong office and in the US; where I became the Chief Financial Officer for North America.
After spending a total of 13 years living outside the UK I came back to the UK and joined Lhasa Limited in 2005, initially on a short term contract to establish in-house accounting systems after Lhasa’s move from an office within Leeds University to their own offices. In that same year I accepted a permanent position where my role has been to manage a small dedicated finance team who act as a support function for the organisation.
Outside of work I enjoy family life, love to cook and renovate (both houses and furniture); like a long walk in the Yorkshire countryside and try to swim a couple of miles each week.
