My name is Dan and I joined Lhasa Limited in 2015. I received a degree in Computer Science with Philosophy from the University of Leeds. From there, my work has focussed on database-driven business applications, particularly in the telecoms and pension industries.
During my time at university I spent time working on scientific modelling. An example of my works was the evaluation of cellular automata using partial equations, as a means of modelling gas diffusion as an alternative to established methods. I found scientific research to be immensely satisfying and so after nearly a decade of writing business applications, I relished the opportunity to work for Lhasa Limited.
Outside of Lhasa, I do voluntary gardening and other work around a Buddhist meditation centre where I am a “lay” (unordained) resident.
