Job Title: Principal Account Manager
Get in Touch: firstname.lastname@example.org
My name is Alex and I am the Principal Account Manager at Lhasa Limited. I completed an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) in Computational Chemistry at the University of Manchester in 2011. My EngD was sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline, where I spent the majority of my time working with the Computational Chemists and Genetic Toxicologists. The focus was on the prediction of chemical (pKa) and biological properties (mutagenicity in vitro) relevant to drug discovery. During this time I gained a deep understanding of the tools and techniques used in drug discovery and safety assessment. The knowledge I gained, coupled with my deep knowledge of Lhasa Limited’s products, has aided my team’s daily support to our members. Prior to joining Lhasa, I also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Sciences.
I joined Lhasa Limited as an Account Manager in June 2011, offering members technical support and training. In August 2017 I was appointed to the role of Principal Account Manager and I am now responsible for overseeing the activities of Account Managers.
Account Managers at Lhasa fulfil an interesting and diverse range of tasks. As the primary point of contact for our members, my team provides scientific support and comprehensive training on Lhasa Limited’s software portfolio. We also work closely with members by completing frequent worldwide site visits to understand our members’ needs, where they are heading and where Lhasa Limited can help. The information we gather is disseminated within Lhasa Limited and has a strong influence on the direction of the company.
In September 2013, my team was further enhanced with the appointment of two highly qualified Account Managers based in the United States, reaffirming our commitment as a member focused organisation.
The diversity of my role means my scientific knowledge is utilised beyond a research role and provides opportunities that I personally enjoy. My role involves strengthening existing relationships and building new ones and I like meeting old friends and new faces. This part of the job means lots of international travel and experiencing different cultures.
Outside of work I enjoy eating out in nice restaurants with friends and family and cooking at home. I try to balance out my love of food with regular boxercise classes and five aside football.
The Account Management Team is here to help and so if you have any questions about anything Lhasa related please do not hesitate to contact us.
