Lhasa's M7 prediction functionality can support your successful implementation of the ICH M7 guidelines.
- ICH M7 Expert Review
- Expert assessment is a fundamental part of the assessment of the mutagenic potential of impurities under the ICH M7 guideline and it makes a specific provision for the application of expert knowledge to support or overturn a (Q)SAR prediction. Whilst expert assessment has been successfully applied in this context, the definition of what constitutes expert analysis has been largely left open. Chris Barber et al. have recently outlined their views on establishing best practice in the application of expert review under ICH M7.

Lhasa Limited has a focus on skin sensitisation, an important endpoint for many industries. Derek Nexus contains expert-derived functionality for assessment of the skin sensitisation endpoint. Derek provides quantitative EC3 predictions for skin sensitisation as well as negative predictions for those query compounds which do not fire a skin sensitisation alert.
Lhasa has created a free, online application implementing its Defined Approach for skin sensitisation.

- FDA RCA
- The FDA RCA (Research Collaboration Agreement) is a 5-year project between Lhasa and CDER FDA from 2012 to 2017. The RCA is the result of a continuing collaboration and started after closure of the previous 5-year FDA CRADA project. The aim is to use FDA datasets towards improving Lhasa existing products (e.g. Derek Nexus) and ongoing research activities. Since March 2015, the work carried out under this collaboration also includes exploitation of in vitro and other relevant data in addition to in vivo DART information towards the prediction of molecular initiating events relevant to teratogenicity, an initiative to offer predictions over a significantly wider chemical space and which gathered considerable interest from industry experts.
