Streamlining Drug Discovery and Development: Leveraging Data Analysis and Modelling for Design

Dr. Andrew Lemon, CEO, The Edge

Streamlining drug discovery and development relies on access to the right data at the right time to support decision making. In this talk we shall outline the use of information models for capturing high quality biological and physiochemical results. The combination of consistent master data and standardized calculations enables better design decisions and builds an exploitable results store for future data mining activities.
Focusing on ADME/DMPK as a case study, we review examples of data processing and quality control models for common assays. We shall also highlight how deploying these models within the context of an overall workflow improves consistency, reduces errors and increases overall efficiency.
