Database to Support Intelligence-led Assessment of Pharmaceuticals in the Environment
Presented by Katharine Briggs at a joint iPiE and eTOX meeting.
As part of the Intelligence-led Assessment of Pharmaceuticals in the Environment (iPiE) project, Lhasa Limited has been tasked with expanding the existing eTOX database to include environmental data on active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). It is intended that the data will be used to assist in the development of approaches for predicting exposure and effects in the environment of APIs (and related compounds such as metabolites). The database will be populated with proprietary data and quality assessed public data donated by iPiE partners. A first batch of data was extracted in 2015 in order to test out the new schema and data extraction templates.
