What is the role?

The opportunity now exists for a highly motivated scientist to develop mapping rules to transform preclinical repeat dose toxicity data being shared within the eTRANSAFE (Enhancing TRANslational SAFEty Assessment through Integrative Knowledge Management) project into the new US FDA mandated Standard for Exchange of Nonclinical Data (SEND) format.

Working in a small project team and reporting to one of our science team leaders, the successful candidate will use their technical data skills to transform the donated data into a format suitable for uploading to the preclinical database, assess data quality and assist in standardising terminology and units.

Who are we looking for?

Educated to degree level or equivalent in an appropriate physical or life science discipline you will be experienced in applying technical data skills (SQL, Knime, Python, Java, R) to transform data and possess a good understanding of toxicological data.

Excellent attention to detail will be needed along with good problem-solving skills to identify and resolve differences in data format and content. Familiarity with the Standard for Exchange of Nonclinical Data (SEND) would be an advantage.
